As many of you will be aware, this week Birmingham City Council’s Planning Committee voted in favour of plans to demolish Fitness First and build a new Lidl store on the site. This decision comes just a fortnight after the same committee had voted to reject the plan.

Bournville Labour Party’s first Christmas appeal donates over 1,000 gifts to local children in need

Christmas is a really tough time of the year for some families in our community but thanks to the generosity of local people Cllr Mary Locke has been able to donate over 1,000 gifts to local children in need this Christmas.

On Saturday Cllr Mary Locke and Bournville Labour Party volunteers supported Small Business Saturday UK 2016 by shopping at local small businesses in Bournville, Cotteridge, Stirchley and the Masefield estate.
